- Safety Burn Ban - August 14, 2017
The Stage 1 Burn Ban has been canceled, but the Safety Burn Ban is still in effect. This means you may use charcoal BBQ’s and have a 2 foot “recreational campfire”, but any larger fires are still illegal, and probably will be until October 1st. Alway use caution when burning outdoors.
- Stage 1 Burn Ban - August 2, 2017
Puget Sound Clean Air Agency today declared a Stage 1 Burn Ban. Essentially all outdoor burning is prohibited in King County, including charcoal BBQ’s and campfires. See http://www.pscleanair.org/priorities/woodheating/Pages/burnbans.aspx.

County wide Burn Ban is in effect.
- Volunteers needed - April 11, 2017
We are looking for volunteers for firefighting and Emergency Medical Services. If you would like to find out more about volunteering you can come to Station 88 in Kangley on Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM.
- Burn Permits now $25. - April 11, 2017
We have lowered the price of burn permits because the reduced number of illegal burns in 2016. It is expensive to respond to illegal burns when it could have been prevented by getting a burn permit. Burning during a burn ban can bring a heavy fine so please follow the rules.
